Dear Parents/Guardians,
Since the recent revision of the Ontario French curriculum (accessible here), a Listening strand has been added requiring students to determine meaning of various oral French texts, accurately interpret oral messages while interacting in French, as well as demonstrate an understanding of information in oral French texts about aspects of culture in diverse French-speaking communities (Overall expectations B1, B2 and B3 of the Core French and French Immersion curriculum). The following website, Podcast Français Facile, allows students to listen to dialogues in multiple scenarios. Hovering over certain words in each dialogue will link to other exercises focusing on those vocabulary words. Not familiar with the French language? This is the perfect opportunity to see what your child is learning and to help teach yourself some simple French vocabulary.
From the Podcast Français Facile homepage, students have access to grammar/dictation exercises, phonetic activities, cultural texts, vocabulary expressions, verb conjugations and much more!
Just a remind, please bookmark these sites in your web browser for future use!
